How to Log In to JotForm — Step by Step
The login process takes under 30 seconds for returning users. All steps below apply to the JotForm web app at jotform.com. If you are on a mobile device, see the mobile login section below.
- 1Navigate to jotform.com
Open any browser and go to jotform.com. The homepage loads with a Log In button in the upper-right corner of the navigation bar. You can also go directly to jotform.com/login to skip the homepage.
- 2Click "Log In"
Click the Log In button. This redirects you to the sign-in page at jotform.com/login, which loads the email/password form alongside OAuth options.
- 3Enter your email address
Type the email address you used when you created your JotForm account. The email field is case-insensitive (uppercase and lowercase treated equally), but it must match the address on file exactly — no aliases.
- 4Enter your password
Type your JotForm password. Passwords are case-sensitive. If you cannot remember it, click Forgot Password below the field — see the password reset guide for the full process.
- 5Click the Log In button
Click the blue Log In button. If the credentials match, JotForm redirects you to your account dashboard where your forms and recent submissions appear.
- 6Complete 2FA (if enabled)
If you have two-factor authentication turned on, JotForm shows a second screen asking for your 6-digit authenticator code. Open Google Authenticator, Authy, or whichever TOTP app you set up, and enter the current code. Codes rotate every 30 seconds.
JotForm Login Methods Compared
JotForm supports four authentication methods. All four give identical access to your account — the difference is only in how you verify your identity.
| Method | How it works | Best for | Password required? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Email + Password | Enter your registered email and JotForm-specific password. | Users who prefer not to link a third-party account | Yes (JotForm password) |
| Continue with Google | Google OAuth 2.0 — no JotForm password stored. | Google Workspace users; anyone already signed into Chrome | No — Google handles auth |
| Continue with Microsoft | Microsoft identity platform (Azure AD / personal Microsoft account). | Enterprise users on Microsoft 365; Outlook account holders | No — Microsoft handles auth |
| Continue with Apple | Apple Sign-In; can hide your email from JotForm using Apple's relay service. | iPhone/Mac users who prefer privacy | No — Apple handles auth |
Which method should you use? If your team is already on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, use the corresponding OAuth option — it removes password management entirely and keeps access tied to your organisation's identity provider. For individual use with no third-party preference, email plus password with 2FA enabled is equally secure.
Common JotForm Login Problems and How to Fix Them
Wrong email or password
JotForm displays "Wrong email or password" for both incorrect email addresses and wrong passwords (it does not distinguish between the two for security reasons). Check for:
- A typo in the email address — try autocomplete or copy/paste from wherever you registered
- Signing up with a different method — if you originally used Google login, you may not have a JotForm password at all
- Caps Lock being on while typing your password
- A browser autofill inserting an old password
Account locked after failed attempts
JotForm locks an account temporarily after five consecutive failed login attempts. The lockout lasts approximately 30 minutes. You do not need to contact support — simply wait and try again, or use the Forgot Password link to immediately reset your credentials and bypass the lockout.
Two-factor authentication not working
TOTP codes are time-sensitive and rotate every 30 seconds. If your code is rejected:
- Make sure your phone's time is set to automatic (Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically on iOS)
- Try entering the next code generated (wait for the current one to expire)
- If you have lost access to your authenticator app, use one of the backup codes JotForm provided when you enabled 2FA — these are one-time-use codes valid permanently
- If you have no backup codes, contact JotForm support to verify your identity and disable 2FA on your account
Login page not loading or stuck
Browser cache and extension conflicts are the most frequent cause of the login page hanging or displaying incorrectly. Try these in order:
- Hard refresh: press Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac)
- Clear cookies for jotform.com specifically (browser settings > site data)
- Disable browser extensions, particularly ad blockers and privacy tools
- Try a different browser or an incognito window
- Check status.jotform.com for any active outages
"Your session has expired" after logging in
JotForm sessions expire after a period of inactivity (typically 30 days on desktop, shorter on mobile). Simply log in again. If this happens repeatedly within a short session, it is usually caused by a browser blocking JotForm's session cookie — disable your cookie blocker for jotform.com or add the domain to your whitelist.
Signed in but seeing a different account's forms
This happens when you have multiple JotForm accounts and the browser saved credentials for the wrong one. Sign out, then explicitly log in with the correct email address. Consider using separate browser profiles if you manage multiple JotForm accounts regularly.
Logging In on the JotForm Mobile App
The JotForm Mobile Forms app is available on both iOS (14 or later) and Android (8.0 or later). It provides the same account access as the web app, plus offline form collection.
iOS (iPhone and iPad)
- Download JotForm Mobile Forms from the App Store (free, by JotForm Inc.)
- Open the app and tap Log In
- Enter your email and password, or tap Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google
- If 2FA is enabled, enter the code from your authenticator app when prompted
- The app loads your dashboard with all forms and submission counts
Android
- Install JotForm Mobile Forms from Google Play (free)
- Tap Log In and enter your credentials
- Use Sign in with Google if your account is linked to a Google account — this is the fastest option on Android
- Grant notification permissions if you want push alerts when a form receives a new submission
The mobile app syncs automatically when connected to the internet. Forms you build or edit on mobile appear in the web app immediately. Submissions collected offline are uploaded when connectivity is restored.
JotForm Login for UK Users
The login process is identical for UK-based users — there is no separate UK login URL or portal. Navigate to jotform.com/login and sign in normally.
UK users should be aware of two things. First, JotForm's primary servers are US-based. Data collected through JotForm forms is stored in the United States by default. If your use case requires EU/UK data residency (for GDPR compliance), you must contact JotForm Enterprise to request a European data centre. The standard and paid plans do not offer region selection.
Second, JotForm's support team operates primarily in US Eastern Time (UTC−5 / UTC−4 during daylight saving). Live chat is available around the clock, but phone support is staffed during US business hours only. Email responses typically arrive within 4 hours on weekdays.
For UK-specific login guidance, see the dedicated JotForm Login UK page.
Keeping Your JotForm Account Secure
JotForm accounts can contain sensitive form data — contact details, payment information, or internal business records. Three steps significantly reduce the risk of unauthorised access:
- Enable two-factor authentication. Go to Account Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication and follow the setup guide. Once enabled, a stolen password alone cannot access your account.
- Use a unique password for JotForm. Reusing passwords across services is the most common cause of account compromise. A password manager makes this practical.
- Review connected apps and integrations periodically. Under Account Settings > Integrations, revoke access for any tools you no longer use.
